Thank you for making a motivating post. I have also started cycling just a few days ago and am working on my stamina regularly. I love cycling and am always happy to ride no matter it is solo or with a group. Although I do face some societal difficulties on my way when I pedal solo, but I just try to focus on cycling and the joy that it gives me.
As you mentioned that you have also been a part of the ride that went up to 100 km, which is a lot! Please tell me how long did it take for you to meet this level of stamina once you started as a beginner and also share about how fast did you start to shape up your body with cycling. It is clear in your photos that you lost weight and got into real nice shape. Photos are amazing by the way!
Keep it up and stay well!

Thank you so much for stopping by , it really means a lot .
Nothing comes easy in this World.
Be it the things You love or You don’t.
It was a difficult task for me as well.
But what kept me going was the result that I was determined to see in myself.
I totally agree the society where we live is a little challenging for women to ride solo but am so glad that you have already made your mind to overcome all of that.
The society might judge you, discourage you, put you down but who else knows You better than you know Yourself ….?
Carry on with what you have started and you will be amazed to see what you were capable of…,.
      Keep Cycling and keep shining…

Thanks a lot for motivation and support. I am confident that I will not let the society dominate my lifelines but i myself will keep track of what I wish or intend to do. I agree with you about seeing the result in yourself is the continuous result that keeps you going further.
Please share, Only if you dont mind, that how long did it take for you to shed kilos once you started cycling.
        Best!

I bought a bike a few years back and started riding around my home which is in a relatively green and traffic-free part of Bangalore. But as the years go by, I’ve noticed that I always keep looking for excuses like rain, work, sleep etc etc. Your post is quite inspirational. I really hope to get back to cycling .. Soon .. ๐Ÿ˜Š !

Thank you so much for stopping by, I agree with you, its always like that in the beginning, try to increase the miles covered over time and try to break your own record. Try using the Strava app, it is like facebook for athletes, you can connect with cyclist around your area and follow them – This provides some amount of motivation over time.

A great story and one that I can relate to. My partner has travelled a similar journey as you with regards to lifestyle, weight and exercise. He is now addicted to cycling, and like you, sees the road as his gym. When planning future travel, we now look for any opportunity where we can incorporate bike riding into how we see the place!

I also ๐Ÿ’œcycling with my purple bike! We have an amazing bike trail that goes thru woods & over cedar bridges from our town 30+ miles to Richmond,VA. Yesterday12 deer leapt across a wooded path in front of my bike (including 2 darling little ones!) I also saw bluebirds & a pilated woodpecker. Like you, for me cycling is a special time with nature (& shapeshifting kilos away.) Thanx for this inspiring post! ๐Ÿšด๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿšด๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ
